December newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers

Sorry, this is not the Christmas message we were hoping to send out today!

School Re-opening

In view of the recent Scottish Government announcements, we write to let you know it is our intention, subject to demand from keyworkers families, to reopen only for keyworker children registered with us from the 6th of January until further notice.

Further information regarding that, and our sister services Notre Dame Kids Club and Thornwood After School Club, will be sent out nearer the time.

Reporting Positive Tests

In the meantime, please follow all the current guidelines regarding reporting Covid-19 symptoms and, if any of your children have symptoms within 48 hours of being at Afty that results in a positive test, we have an emergency number to call over the holidays for each of our services. We will get in touch with you if any of our staff receive a positive test in the same timeframe.

It is vital to let us know who your child would have been in contact with so we can report to the Contact Tracing team.  Contacts will include staff and any other children they played with at Afty or were close to.

The number to call is 07955530090 if your child attends Hyndland or Thornwood and 07419999452 if it is Notre Dame Kids Club.

You can also email us at email hidden; JavaScript is required or email hidden; JavaScript is required

Keyworker Families

It would be helpful to know if you are a keyworker parent or carer, if you will be sending your child to school from the 6th and, if you will need the Afty.  Please reply as soon as you can.

Reminder

We will be open today and tomorrow as usual until 6pm and children will be collected from school at the earlier closing time tomorrow.

Happy Christmas!

Despite this latest news we hope you can relax and enjoy Christmas and stay well.

Finally, we would just like to say the support from all our families at all our services has been amazing- your encouragement, good wishes and appreciation means a lot – thank you!

Best Wishes for a peaceful Christmas,

Fiona and all the teams
