Happy New Year from everyone at The Afty!

Christmas 2014
A big congratulations to the Cartwright family who won the Grand Christmas Hamper in December. All of the donations were much appreciated, including the food bank donations which were delivered before Christmas. The funds from the raffle and the Christmas stall at Hyndland Primary came to £402.43 – which was a fantastic amount, so thank you. The children will decide how the funds will be spent. We will keep you updated.

Registration Files
Have you moved house or changed your email address or phone number since you last completed an Afty registration form? It is now time for everyone to confirm contact, emergency and medical details. This has to be completed to comply with Care Inspectorate legislation so it is really important that parents/guardians get in touch to confirm if all of the information the office currently holds is to stay the same or inform us of any changes.

New Siblings in August
We would also like to inform families with siblings starting school in August, to complete an Afty registration forms if you have not already done so. We need these this month to ensure your child is a priority on our waiting list.

Reminder!
One of the most important jobs we have here at the after school is to ensure that all the children who are booked-in are here safe. Every day we have to contact parents to find out where their children are when they have not turned-up after school. Please contact the office before 3pm by phone on 0141 339 9526 (we have an answer phone). Alternatively you can email us on office@hyndlandasc.org.uk.  We also have a new mobile 07419 982214, which if necessary you can text to inform us for any absences. Please note – schools do not tell us when children are off.

Family Survey
Attached is a quick survey about our service. We would really appreciate if you could complete it and email it back to us or hand it in at the office as soon as possible. We really value feedback and suggestions from families so your cooperation is much appreciated.

Thank you,

Fiona and the team.
